Geometric Box

This is a box made using a slab technique. The box was formed as an enclosed shape and then the top was cut off. Each side of the top has a shape. I used a circle, square, and two sides use triangles; I couldn't think of a fourth shape that would work! The handle has a square shape facing the square side and a circle shape facing the circle side. I made the applied geometric decorations on the sides of the box out of slabs as well just cutting one out free hand and using it as a template and placed them in an abstract pattern. The glaze is a low fire white and I think I added a few hints of green over the shapes on the sides to bring them out a bit but it's subtle.

It's big enough to hold pencils and pens and those kinds of things.
